What is Bookyourday ?

Bookyourday is a marketplace for booking and listing unique spaces for a variety of events. We connect individuals to landlords  who need somewhere special to make their ideas come to life with locations that were previously underutilized or unavailable to the public.

To build a thriving marketplace, Bookyourday works with businesses and individuals who own unique spaces to help them make more efficient use of their space, allowing them to safely and conveniently share it with other individuals or  professionals in need. As a result, we enable local businesses to sustain healthy operations and expand their presence within the community.

How do I create an account to book a space ?

Creating an account is easy and fast. You can sign up online with:

  • A valid email address and password

Keep in mind that if you are interested in messaging hosts or booking spaces, you will need to enter more information that helps the community identify and trust you, including a profile photo and your full name. Please note, only your first name and last initial will be visible to users.

What type of spaces can I find on Peerspace ?

There are currently three categories of spaces that you can search for and book on the Peerspace marketplace, depending on the activity you have in mind:

Entire Place – For this type of listing, hosts gives access to their entire place. You are not limited to only outdoor spaces

Garden – For this type of listings, hosts gives you access to their garden only

Roof Top – For this type of listings, hosts gives you access to their roof top only

What ype of events I can organize on Bookyourday ?

There are currently many categories of events that you can organize on the Bookyourday marketplace, depending on the hosts approval and number of guests limitations:

What are the benefits of booking through Bookyourday?

At Bookyourday, we want to change the way you find and book space for your events. We pride ourselves on providing transparent pricing, no-hassle booking, and a commitment to safeguarding you and your bookings. Because your safety is of the utmost importance, we require that all communications between guests and hosts be conducted through Bookyourday.

We’ve also built a number of features that will make your booking run smoothly, like our event details page with information on how to access the space, which you can reference and share with your guests.

Contacting Hosts

How do I contact a host with no financial obligation ?

We understand that in many instances you will want to message a host to find out more information without the financial obligation of a formal booking request. To do so, you can click the “Message Host” button you’ll find on every listing page directly beneath the host’s profile photo.

Can I have the email or phone number of a host ?

Bookyourday has a messaging feature  built directly into the platform to make communicating with each other as easy as possible.

For the safety and security of our users, we do not give out any personal information about a host, except address and phone number after a booking is confirmed.

Bookyourday is not responsible for, and disclaim all liability resulting from, any losses or harm to you resulting from sharing personal or sensitive information with other users, or communicating or engaging with users outside of the Platform.

How long does a host have to respond to my booking request ?

Once a booking request has been sent, hosts have 48 business hours to take action.

After this time, the booking request will be automatically canceled.

Most hosts respond within 24 hours. If you’re having difficulty receiving a response from a host after 24 hours, let us know.

What do I do if a host is unresponsive ?

While we’ve designed an easy to use system for contacting hosts, you may run into a scenario where a host is unresponsive.

From the time you submit your request, the host will have two business days to Accept or Decline it. Most hosts respond within 24 hours, but if you’re having difficulty receiving a response, let us know.

After a booking is confirmed, if you’re finding a host unresponsive for days at a time, reach out to us and we’ll contact the host on your behalf.

How do I book a space ?

What is the cleaning fee charged by hosts ?

In order to ensure your space is prepared for you on the day of your event, as well as for future guests, it is common for your host to charge a cleaning fee. This additional cost goes directly towards maintaining the cleanliness of the space. By paying the cleaning fee upfront, you don’t have to worry about being responsible for basic upkeep and removal of trash.

This fee is intended to cover costs associated with trash removal and maintenance of the space. It is not intended to cover excessive wear and tear or deep cleaning. Guests are expected to treat the space they book as if it were their own, with respect and care. As a Bookyourday guest, you agree to pay costs for any damages that you or your attendees cause during a confirmed booking.

How do I cancel a booking request ?

We understand that sometimes your plans will change. After submitting a formal booking request, you can cancel but in some cases we might apply some cancelation fees. Please refer to our terms and conditions to have a better understanding

To cancel your booking request:

  • While logged into the site, navigate to the booking tab of your account.
  • Select  the request you’d like to cancel.
  • Click the “Cancel or Modify” button, choose your reason, and submit.

From this moment, one of our representative will contact you to proceed to the cancelation.

Does Bookyourday offer insurance ?

At this time Bookyourday does not directly offer insurance to guests. The host provided insurance does not cover guests for damages or in any capacity.

If you are interested in obtaining short-term insurance for your upcoming booking, or if the host has required that you obtain this additional insurance, consider purchasing a special event insurance policy. This type of policy should include property damage and liability coverage for yourself in the event of damage to the space or an injury.

Bookyourday  reserves the right to charge guests for damages to space documented by the host and reported to us within 3 days after the conclusion of the event. Hosts can also require a day-of security/damage deposit in the form of a check or credit card authorization that the guest would provide in person at the start of the booking. Provided there are no damages to the space, this deposit would be returned to them at the end of the booking. Hosts wishing to require this type of deposit must clearly state so in their listing’s Host Rules, including the required deposit amount.

What can hosts charge for ?

Hosts can choose to add additional services for a guest inquiring or requesting to book their space. Many hosts market their additional services, along with the approximate price, in the About the Space and Add-ons sections of their listings.

All items detailed in the Amenities section of a listing are considered included in the space rental (the base rate price) and cannot be charged as add-ons. Additionally, hosts are expected to detail any required costs associated with booking their space in the About the Space and Host Rules sections.

 

Hosts can also charge for extra guests. Each listing has guests number limitations but hosts can approve extra guest by charging some extra costs

How does the payment system work ?

All payments are executed through the Bookyouday platform and are processed by our third-party payment provider, Upay.

To book a space, you must send a booking request to the host through our platform and wait for his approval.

In case of missing answer from the host, the booking request expire after 2 business days.

In case of missing confirmation from the guest, the booking request will be automatically canceled after 3 business days. Therefore you will always have the possibility to re-book the property in the case it’s still available

Once the booking request has been approved by the host, you will be asked to pay 15% of the total price of your booking in order to complete your reservation

Seven days prior the event, you will be requested to pay 85% of the remaining amount.

All payments are done by credit card.
